The retaining wall is 10m high and is located on the D11 motorway, Horní Počernice, Prague, Czech Republic, in a deep depression.
The reconstruction works performed included:
1. Stabilization of the filling material behind the existing wall, using injection technology – for safety reasons of subsequent reconstruction works.
To stabilize the ground, pressure injection technology was used to fill the cavities behind the retaining wall with the two-component polyurethane resin Geopur® 082/90.
In total, the following were used:
– 10,000m of self-drilling rods
– 46,900 kg of Geopur® resin
– an area of approximately 1500mp of land was stabilized
2. The anchoring of the reinforced concrete retaining wall was carried out using R32 self-drilling rods.
The depth of the drillings was 8-10m. The load-bearing capacity of the anchors was established by design at 120kN.
276 anchors were used, with a total length of 1896m and a total consumption of 13,200kg of Geopur® resin.
